Devin Maier was born and raised in the heart of DC, and fitness and fun have been flowing through his veins since his mom made him work out to her Jane Fonda records in the late 80's. As a former wrestler and football player, he believes in strength and flexibility as the foundations of all healthy bodies, and he has close to two decades of experience proving that to be the case. When he's not making people sizzle on a Megaformer, you can probably find sweating in a squat rack or paddling the Potomac looking like Poseidon.
Micha (Mee-ka) Shines is a trainer, dancer, ultramarathoner, Marine, and mom of 4 who swears by the Megaformer! She will have you moving with grace and good form while motivating you to "make it burn" with her high energy style, infectious music and some good old fashioned Marine Corps badassery!
Being a lifelong athlete and competitor, Janine has always loved finding new ways to challenge herself both physically and mentally. In discovering the Lagree method, she found the perfect mix of mind/body exercise that truly pushed her to her limits. After practicing Lagree in both LA and Denver for almost 3 years, she decided the next way to challenge herself was to become an instructor and really learn the ins and outs of the machine, the method, and her body. With 2 ½ years of experience teaching, she loves designing classes with fluid but challenging sequencing, while paying extra attention to form and pace. If you’re looking to become the strongest version of yourself – both physically and mentally – then come by her class and let’s grow together!
Kathryn is straight up in love with teaching fitness, and she is committed to bringing out the extraordinary in all of her students. Filled with what seems like limitless energy, Kathryn teaches Balance Burn and Barre and also works as a professional actor, dancer, choreographer, and life coach. When she's not dreaming up impossible megaformer workouts, Kathryn spends her down time training in trapeze and aerial dance. #WhyNotBeAMAZING
Cassia is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), which enables her to incorporate a vast knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology into her practice. Cassia has been involved in athletics since age two when she first strapped on a pair of ballet slippers. She continued this passion with yoga teacher training in India, springboard diving at Pomona College, and a Masters' in Certified Athletic Training from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
She is excited to bring her knowledge of Sports Medicine into the world of Balance Burn, and she believes that the key to health and happiness lies in foundational movement and strength. If you can't find her at the gym, you can find her paddle boarding on the Potomac or reading science fiction and fantasy novels.
Stephanie is a jack of all trades: a skilled CrossFit competitor, our resident Yoga for Meatsticks instructor, and your evening master of the Megaformers. She brings this wealth of knowledge and disciplines to be able to make the Lagree method burn that much hotter.
